Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

Med ZBook 15 G3 har HP framgångsrikt förbättrat den redan övertygande föregångaren. Det helt omarbetade chassit gör ett mycket elegant intryck och behöver inte gömma sig bakom konkurrenterna kvalitetsmässigt. 

Förutom uppdateringen till en Skylake-processor implementerar HP samtidigt alla moderna gränssnitt, både internt och externt. Prestandan är också bra och tangerar för närvarande gränsen för vad en mobil arbetsstation med 15-tumsskärm klarar av. 

Efter ett antal trista FHD-paneler under den senaste tiden är IPS-panelen i ZBook 15 G3 ett lyft, även om du bör kalibrera den. Det finns också en Dreamcolor-bildskärm som tillval om du behöver bättre färgrymd.

Det finns faktiskt bara några mindre detaljer som vi inte gillar. Det inkluderar batteriet, som inte kan nås från utsidan längre, och de skramlande fläktarna som också är mycket mer högljudda under belastning jämfört med föregångaren. Några av de inre komponenterna är svåra att nå. Vi begriper heller inte varför SIM-platsen placerades under M.2-SSD:n och Wi-Fi-modulen. 

Skärmen använder PWM för nästan varje ljusstyrkeinställning och processorn begränsas av sin TDP när du belastar alla kärnor. HP kunde även förbättrat tangentbordet lite. Det är en mycket bra inmatningsenhet, men Lenovo ThinkPad P50 är fortfarande lite bättre. En annan faktor är det uppenbart höga priset, även om motsvarande konkurrenter också är utrustade med svindlande prislappar.
