Lenovos nya flaggskeppsmobil Moto Z sticker främst ut bland konkurrenterna med sina modulära expansionsmöjligheter. Dessa så kallade ”Moto Mods” tillför nya funktioner som vanligtvis inte finns i en smartphone. De ganska höga priserna på modulerna kan vara ett problem, men Lenovo utlovar stöd för åtminstone tre generationer framåt, vilket kan göra en ”mod” mer meningsfull.
Men Moto Z är en bra smartphone även utan tillvalsmoduler och behöver inte gömma sig bakom konkurrenterna. Det sofistikerade och extremt tunna höljet och de kraftfulla komponenterna kan motivera en relativt hög prislapp. Och att det mestadels är en standardutgåva av Android som används räknas av många som ett stort plus. Vi blev också överraskade av de imponerande batteritiderna, trots den lilla batteriet.
Däremot har Lenovo Moto Z bara en medelmåttig kamera om – sensorn på 21 MP från syskonet Moto Z Force skulle ha varit ett bra alternativ. Vissa potentiella köpare kommer också att sakna ett vanligt 3,5 mm hörlursuttag, även om en adapter ingår.
Moto Mod-konceptet tillför lite friska vindar i smartphone-segmentet. Men Moto Z övertygar också med sina standardfunktioner. Det är bara huvudkameran som inte riktigt håller måttet i premiumsegmentet.
Om du gillar det modulära greppet bör du också ta en titt på LG G5 innan du köper Moto Z. LG har inte så många expansioner och hanteringen är inte riktigt lika bekväm, men priset är redan betydligt lägre – trots premiumhårdvara.
