In review: Lenovo ThinkPad E560. Test model courtesy of Campuspoint.

Efter framgångarna med ThinkPad E460 fortsätter man på samma spår med E560. Prestandan är bra och Lenovo kan återigen (beroende på konfiguration) erbjuda en jämförelsevis billig instegsmodell utan större svagheter.

Förutom ett i vanlig ordning utmärkt tangentbord vill vi nämna den nya IPS-skärmen i synnerhet, som inte bara erbjuder bättre ljusstyrka och kontrast, utan också mycket bredare betraktningsvinklar än de TN-paneler som är vanliga i denna prisklass.

Prestandan är också ganska bra tack vare SSD, 8 GB RAM och Core i7-processor, även om vi skulle rekommendera en modell med i5-processor, som inte är mycket långsammare men billigare. Det dedikerade Radeon R7 M370-kortet med GDDR5-minne levererar anständig spelprestanda med reducerade detaljer, men den integrerade HD Graphics 520-kretsen skulle också vara tillräcklig för kontorsbruk.

Några detaljer skulle kunna förbättras i nästa generation. Bland annat skulle vi uppskatta en ledig M.2-kortplats och enklare tillgång till fläkten. Skärmens färgreproduktion kunde också vara bättre. Men det är också en prisfråga, liksom garantitiden på bara 12 månader. Lenovo vill inte tappa mark med sina dyrare L- och T-serier.
