MSI GP65 Leopard fortsätter på samma väg som GP62 och GP63. Även om chassit ser billigt ut är hårdvaran som sitter på insidan utmärkt för priset. I synnerhet står 144 Hz-skärmen i rampljuset. Den erbjuder inte bara silkeslen spelkänsla utan har otrolig färgprecision, vilket är unikt för spelfokuserad mittenskiktslaptop.
Andra lyxiga trevligheter har börjat nå ner till mittenskiktsmarknaden vilket GP65 är ett exempel på. Tangentbordet upprätthåller det utmärkta ryckte som SteelSeries-märket har och den tangentspecifika RGB-belysningen är ett välkommet (och roligt) tillägg. Portutbudet är varierat även om portarnas placering är konstig och frustrerande. Till sist är spelprestandan och den generella prestandan utmärkta för 15.000 kronor; GP65 hade fungerat lika bra som kreativ arbetsdator som den gör som spelmaskin.
Men GP65 har inte uppstått ur ett vakuum. Det finns några andra tävlande som erbjuder totalt sett bättre paket till den här priset. Som exempel har Lenovos Legion Y540 bättre värmehantering (med tystare fläktar) och jämförbar spelprestanda för 1.000 kronor mindre. CUK Model Z har ett bättre hölje, ett mekaniskt tangentbord och en mer kraftfull GPU (RTX 2070 Max-Q) för samma prislapp på 15.000 kronor. Men Model Z blir mycket varmare än GP65 och fläktarna låter dessutom mer.
I slutändan handlar valet om vad du vill att din dator ska göra. Om huvudmålet är spel (oavsett värmen) är det svårt att slå CUK Model Z på den här prisnivån. Om din budget är det allra viktigaste är Lenovo Legion Y540 en väl prissatt enhet som bara ligger en aning efter när det kommer till spelprestanda. (Lenovo har dessutom ofta rea.)
Även om den kompromissar med konstruktionskvalitet och värmehantering är MSI GP65 Leopard riktigt prisvärd och är en utmärkt "allt-i-allo". Den fantastiska skärmen är tillräckligt bra för kreativa innehållsskapare och spelprestandan kommer göra de flesta gamers nöjda under en överskådlig framtid. För 15.000 kronor hamnar GP65 Leopard i slutet av mittenskiktsmarknaden, men den är också en av de bästa mittenskiktsmodellerna som finns att tillgå idag.
