Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

Lumia 650 är en OK efterföljare till den gamla Lumia 640. Mellanklassluren använder nu samma formspråk som de större syskonen Lumia 950 / Lumia 950 XL och vi får ett bra hölje med en stor AMOLED-skärm. Vi förstår däremot inte riktigt varför enheten är tänkt att tilltala företagskunder. Man måste avstå från vissa funktioner som Windows Hello och Continuum, så i princip handlar det om Microsoft Office.

En av de största frågeteckningen är den mediokra prestandan. Windows 10 Mobile i sig fungerar mycket smidigt, men i mer komplexa appar uppstår hack och eftersläpningar. Det andra stora problemet är själva Windows, eftersom utbudet av appar fortfarande är starkt begränsat jämfört med Android och iOS. Du bör definitivt dubbelkolla att dina favoritappar är tillgängliga om du funderar på att byta till Windows 10 Mobile.

Microsoft Lumia 650 är en vettig standard-smartphone med stor skärm. Men var medveten om begränsningarna med Windows 10 Mobile liksom den långsamma prestandan.
