Så hur står sig Xiaomi-telefonen med den höga kameraupplösningen och den i övrigt genomsnittliga hårdvaran mot sina konkurrenter?
Note 7 har ett tydligt övertag över P20 Lite. Den presterar bättre inte bara i fråga om rå prestanda utan även i områden som WiFi-prestanda och batteritid.
Qualcomm-konkurrensen är ganska jämnt matchad. För mellan 2.000 och 2.500 kronor beroende på lagringskonfiguration så är priserna jämförbara med vad Note 7 kostar. Således handlar valet om detaljer som extra funktioner eller estetik, även om ingen av de andra tre kandidaterna kan rå på Note i fråga om kameraupplösning.
När vi genomförde testet kostade 64 GB-versionen av Xiaomi Mi 8 fortfarande 3.500 kronor och modellen med 128 GB kostade bara runt 100 - 150 kr mer. Utöver det högre priset behöver Mi 8:s prestanda utvärderas med en lägre uthållighet i åtanke, vilket är anledningen till att vi inte kan ge ett definitivt svar vid skrivande stund.
Redmi Note 7 är en bra mittenskiktstelefon, kameran på 48 MP är dess definierande egenskap.
I ett vakuum kan vi uppskatta Xiaomis funktionella MIUI, som erbjuder mer än vad vi kan täcka i den här recensionen. Men med det sagt så kommer den Kinesiska modellen också med mycket onödig mjukvara och en del av AI-funktionerna kan tydligen inte användas i Europa.
Framåt slutet av recensionen fick vi information om de tre nu tillgängliga versionerna av Redmi Note 7:
- Redmi Note 7 China: kamera på 48 MP, upp till 6 GB RAM, inget stöd för LTE band 20
- Redmi Note 7 Global India: kamera på 12 MP, upp till 4 GB RAM, LTE band 20
- Redmi Note 7 Global Europe: kamera på 48 MP, upp till 4 GB RAM, LTE band 20
Detta bör göra den eleganta Kinesiska telefonen ännu mer tilltalande i Tyskland och övriga Europa.
