I likhet med de flesta modeller som drivs av AMD är priset en stor fördel med Asus TUF FX505DT. Detta system för 9.000 kronor kommer utrustat med en 120 Hz-skärm och en NVMe SSD-enhet på 512 GB medans likvärdigt prissatta alternativ med en Core i5-9300H CPU och samma GTX 1650 GPU istället hade haft en 60 Hz-skärm och bara hälften så mycket SSD-lagring. Du får fler funktioner för pengarna utan att behöva offra särskilt mycket spelprestanda och fördelarna med 120 Hz märks även om de flesta spel inte kan uppnå en stabil bilduppdatering på 120 FPS.

Prestandan vid lägre upplösningar eller grafikinställningar kunde varit bättre då spelen blir begränsade av CPU:n snabbare med Ryzen 7 än med en motsvarande Core i5. Vi rekommenderar att sikta på 30 FPS eller 60 FPS för att få ut mesta möjliga ur kombinationen Ryzen 7 och GeForce GTX 1650. Om riktigt snabb bilduppdatering är en prioritet är en vanlig Intel Core i7- och GeForce-PC ett bättre alternativ.

När det kommer till själva chassit kunde Asus definitivt ha löst att fläktarna pulserar när man spelar, att batteritiden är medelmåttig, att styrplattan känns klistrig och att locket böjer sig. G-Sync hade också varit ett utmärkt alternativ, särskilt med tanke på att GTX 1650 oftast kan köra nyare spel i runt 40 - 60 FPS då G-Sync passar som bäst. Men även med dessa brister i åtanke är FX505DT en lätt och riktigt välbalanserad spelmaskin för sin budgetkategori och är inte helt olik Zephyrus G GA502DU. Var bara säker på att du till varje pris undviker FX505DY!

Innan Ryzen släpptes var det svårt att ens rekommendera en AMD-driven spellaptop till casualspelare. Asus TUF FX505DT och även Zephyrus G GA502 har återigen gjort AMD-modeller till ordentliga alternativ för gamers med liten budget.
