I våra recensioner av Ice Lake-baserade Spectre x360 13 och Kaby Lake G-baserade Spectre x360 15 upptäckte vi stora variationer i klockfrekvenser, bilduppdatering och fläktljud vid hög belastning, vilket resulterar i en ojämn spelupplevelse. Den här Comet Lake U-baserade Spectre x360 15 visar upp samma drag; även här varierar klockfrekvenser, bilduppdatering och fläktljud när man spelar. Proffs som vill ha en laptop med mer konsekvent prestanda kan därmed vilja undvika just den här Spectre-konfigurationen.
Vidare är Comet Lake-U Core i7-10510U och GeForce MX250 bara marginellt bättre än förra generationens Whiskey Lake-U Core i7-8565U och GeForce MX150 när det kommer till ren prestanda. Kombinera detta med faktum att 2019 års modell med Comet Lake-U har samma tangentbord, skärm, batteritid och chassi som den billigare modellen med Whiskey Lake-U och du får ett system som det inte är värt att uppgradera till om du redan äger en Spectre. Har du inte en Spectre och överväger HP:s omvandlingsbara dator är det bättre att välja modellen med Whiskey Lake-U då den har överlägsen prestanda per krona.
Bortsett från ovan nämnda brister när det kommer till prestanda har Spectre x360 15 ett utmärkt chassi och är fortfarande en av de mest robusta omvandlingsbara modellerna på 15.6 tum som finns på marknaden. Batteritiden är relativt lång och fläktens ljudnivå är relativt låg så länge man utför mindre krävande kontorsuppgifter.
Den som kan tänka sig att vänta några månader bör överväga 2020 års Spectre x360 15 som kommer innebära en större uppgradering för serien med mycket tunnare infattning och kraftigare sexkärniga processorer samt Turing-baserade GTX 1650 Max-Q grafikkort.
