Med Redmi Note 6 Pro erbjuder denna Kinesiska tillverkare ett totalt sett intressant paket som hör hemma i prisskiktet under 2.000 kronor. Även om skillnaderna gentemot föregångaren visar sig vara små så har Xiaomi gjort rätt justeringar. Den blå tonen vi kritiserade föregångaren för har försvunnit från den nya modellen och istället är IPS-skärmen höjdpunkten med denna billiga mittenskiktstelefon. Tack vare utmärkt färgåtergivning och bra ljusstyrka är LCD-skärmen i Redmi Note 6 Pro riktigt kul att titta på. Dessutom är de inbyggda kamerorna väldigt bra och batteritiden övertygar.
Vi hoppas fortfarande att en uppdatering till den senaste versionen av MIUI kommer resultera i bättre prestanda; för tillfället kan systemets yta inte riktigt harmonisera till 100% med Snapdragon 636. Andra mindre klagomål rör att skärmen flimrar på grund av ljusstyrkekontrollen, att monohögtalaren är typisk för detta prisskikt och att den saknar en USB Typ C-anslutning, vilket verkligen bör vara standard på en modell från 2018.
Det är ingen tvekan om att Redmi Note 6 Pro är en smartphone som är värd att rekommendera. Men med tanke på det rikliga utbudet av riktigt bra mittenskikts-modeller från samma tillverkare så måste vi ställa frågan huruvida ytterligare en pris/prestanda-kämpe utöver Android One-enheterna Mi A2 och Mi A2 Lite verkligen behövdes, särskilt med tanke på att prisskillnaden mellan Mi-modellerna och Redmi 6 Note Pro är väldigt små och skillnaden i utrustning är ganska liten.
Kvalitetsnivån för billiga smartphone-modeller har ökat snabbt under de senaste månaderna. Intresserade köpare kan inte göra fel genom att välja Redmi Note 6 Pro.
Med en prisfördel på runt 400 - 500 kronor kan Redmi Note 6 Pro också köpas genom importföretag som en CN-version. Men en import från Kina med tillhörande risker och begränsningar är för många nog inte det bästa sättet att skaffa en ny telefon. Vi tycker därför de extra kostnaderna som kommer med EU-modellen är värt det.
