En av HP:s lättaste 16-tums arbetsstationer får nya processoralternativ för märkbart snabbare prestanda än tidigare. Utlåtande - Lättare än väntat för en 16-tums arbetsstation
ZBook Studio 16 G11 utmärker sig när det gäller bärbarhet och byggkvalitet trots tunnheten och den stora 16-tumsskärmen. Proffs som vill ha något som är tillräckligt lätt att bära med sig utan att offra skärmstorlek eller för mycket prestanda kommer att ha mycket att tycka om Studio 16 G11, särskilt nu när de nya GPU-alternativen är märkbart snabbare och effektivare än vad som fanns tillgängligt på G9-modellen.
Tyvärr lider systemet fortfarande av många av samma brister som de föregående G10- eller G9-modellerna eftersom de alla delar samma chassi eller skelett. Den suddiga 1 MP-webbkameran och avsaknaden av sekretesslucka är till exempel tecken på en åldrande design. Andra faktorer som kärntemperaturer och batteritid är varmare respektive kortare än vi skulle vilja, medan CPU-uppgraderingen från Alder Lake-H till Meteor Lake-H inte är lika stor som GPU-uppgraderingen. Användare som behöver ytterligare grafikkraft snabbare än RTX 3000 Ada måste titta på tjockare alternativ som ZBook Fury 16-serien som kan konfigureras med RTX 5000 Ada-alternativ.
Vi bör också notera att vi upplevde flera frysningsproblem på vår testenhet. Det kan vara värt att dubbelkolla din enhet vid köp för eventuellt felaktigt beteende.

Förra gången vi granskade ZBook Studio 16-serien var det G9-modellen redan 2022. För 2024 är den senaste modellen nu G11 utrustad med både snabbare Intel Meteor Lake CPU och Nvidia Ada Lovelace GPU-alternativ för att ersätta Alder Lake och Ampere-alternativen på de äldre Studio 16-versionerna.
Vår testenhet är den mest avancerade konfigurationen med Core Ultra 9 185H vPro-processor, RTX 3000 Ada GPU och 2400p 120 Hz IPS-skärm för cirka 2800 USD. Andra SKU:er börjar med Core Ultra 7 155H, integrerad Arc-grafik, GeForce RTX 4070 eller 1200p-skärm istället enligt beskrivningen på officiella HP-produktsidan.
Alternativ till ZBook Studio 16 G11 inkluderar andra 16-tums mobila arbetsstationer som Lenovo ThinkPad P16 Gen 2, Dell Precision 5690eller MSI CreatorPro Z16P.

ZBook Studio 16 G11 använder samma chassi som den två år gamla ZBook Studio 16 G9. Trots sin ålder är detta fortfarande en stark design som är mest anmärkningsvärd för sin tunnhet och bärbarhet. Den nya MSI CreatorPro Z16P eller Dell Precision 5690, till exempel, är alla större och märkbart tyngre med minst 400 till 500 gram.
Anslutningsmöjligheter
Portalternativen har inte ändrats, men den integrerade MicroSD-läsaren på vår enhet var trasig och vi kunde därför inte testa dess överföringshastighet.
Kommunikation
Det trådlösa nätverket har uppgraderats från MediaTek Wi-Fi 6E MT7922 till Intel BE200 för att stödja både Wi-Fi 7 och Bluetooth 5.4.
Webbkamera
Tyvärr är webbkameran fortfarande 720p eller endast 1 MP medan de allra flesta andra bärbara datorer redan har gått bort från 1 MP-alternativ.
Underhåll
Bottenpanelen är lätt att ta bort med bara en Torx-skruvmejsel. HP tillhandahåller en officiell servicevideo för många av sina modeller till skillnad från andra stora tillverkare.
Hållbarhet
HP använder återvunnen plast och metall i alla sina bärbara datorer som tillverkats sedan 2022. Förhållandet mellan återvunnet och icke-återvunnet material varierar dock mellan olika modeller.
Förpackningen består mestadels av kartong och papper med viss plastförpackning för den bärbara datorn och nätadaptern.
Garanti
En treårig begränsad tillverkargaranti gäller vid köp i USA.
Display
HP har bytt 4K-panelleverantör från BOE på Studio 16 G9 till AU Optronics för vår Studio 16 G11. Deras kärnattribut är annars i stort sett identiska när det gäller uppdateringsfrekvens (120 Hz) och färgtäckning (100% DCI-P3). Ljusstyrkan är dock svagare den här gången med nästan 30 procent och HDR fortsätter att inte stödjas. Ett något ljusare 500 nit-alternativ finns tillgängligt för att åtgärda detta.
Modellen kommer inte med några OLED-alternativ i skrivande stund.

Processor
Även om den inte är lika snabb som den intilliggande Raptor Lake-HX-serien, är den Meteor Lake-baserade Meteor Lake-baserade Core Ultra 9 185H är fortfarande en liten uppgradering jämfört med Core i7-12800H i ZBook Studio 16 G9 med cirka 10 procent när det gäller flertrådade uppgifter. Tyvärr kan den inte upprätthålla Turbo Boost-klockfrekvenser särskilt länge trots den relativt stora 16-tums formfaktorn.

Stresstest
Systemets begränsade Turbo Boost-potential blir uppenbar när man tar en närmare titt på dess vitala delar i realtid. När man kör Prime95-stress, till exempel, skulle CPU nästan omedelbart nå 89 C under de första sekunderna av testet. Den skulle sedan snabbt sjunka från 3,3 GHz och 89 W till bara 2,3 GHz och 70 W för att hålla kärntemperaturen under 100 C.
CPU- och GPU-temperaturen när Cyberpunk 2077 kördes stabiliserades på 68 C respektive 70 C, jämfört med 75 C och 62 C på den mer kraftfulla Dell Precision 5690.

Systemets prestanda
PCMark-poängen är genomgående högre än den utgående ZBook Studio 16 G9 på grund av CPU- och GPU-förbättringarna. Det är dock värt att notera att vi upplevde flera frysningar och svarta skärmar under testningen som krävde en hård omstart varje gång.

Den nyare GPU:n är en av de största anledningarna till att uppgradera från ZBook Studio 16 G9 till ZBook Studio 16 G11. Vår RTX 3000 Ada presterar nästan 2x snabbare än RTX A2000 innan vi räknar med några funktioner för strålspårningsacceleration.
