Vi har svårt att inkludera Google Pixel 4 i samma liga som andra toppskiktstelefoner. Den påminner mer om billigare flaggskepp som OnePlus 7T eller ZenFone 6. Google fortsätter att fokusera på mjukvaran istället för på hårdvaruinnovationer. De touchlösa gesterna känns naturligare än på LG G8s; men de saknar funktioner och djup och känns generellt sett ofärdiga.
Kameran är återigen ett av Pixels största säljargument och nu har den dessutom ett extra teleobjektiv. Det är bara synd att den saknar en ultra-vidvinkelslins. Telefonen har ett ganska dåligt förhållande mellan skärm och kropp vilket till viss del kompenseras av en skaplig 90 Hz-skärm. Tyvärr är skärmen inte lika ljusstark som på en del av konkurrenterna och är därför inte lika bra på att visa HDR-innehåll ordentligt.
Googles Pixel 4 har en bra kamera och den senaste mjukvaran. Tyvärr är det pyttiga batteriet en stor nackdel.
Lagringskapaciteten är ytterligare ett snedsteg. 64 GB utan möjlighet till utökning är helt enkelt inte tillräckligt för det här prisskiktet, ett handikapp som inte ens kan kompenseras av tre års tillgång till uppdateringar. På plussidan hittar vi snabbladdning och ett IP68-certifierat hölje, men detta överskuggas snabbt av det pyttiga batteriet och den dåliga batteritiden.
Om du gillar ren vanilj-Android och vill vara säker på att du har de senaste systemfunktionerna är en Pixel-telefon ett måste. Men du kan vilja överväga Pixel 3a istället. Den är förvisso inte lika tekniskt avancerad som Pixel 4, men den har i gengäld mycket bättre batteritid.
